Music has always been a passion of mine. Since a very young age I have played about with musical instruments.

I remember my first keyboard, The 80’s classic Casiotone. I’m sure every budding producer had one. What a bit of kit, NOT! I suppose you have to start somewhere and for me it was the best thing available. Remember the old Atari 520 ST? Digital music has come a long way since then with studio applications like Cubase. I think I'm showing my age now so I'll say no more, Tell No One!!
I have always been a bit of an electronic music freak. I love the classics like Donna Summers “I Feel Love”, Nu Shooz etc. I loved the early electronic era and more hip-hop blended style that Mantronix brought about moving onto early House from when I started Dj'ing.
As an early DJ I played in a few London clubs but mainly parties and the bedroom. I spent crazy amounts of money on vinyl. I took a brief break from House around 1990 and found myself attracted to hardcore rave explosion where I stayed until about 1995. Unfortunately it all got a bit moody and Jungle took over. It kind of killed the vibe in my eyes and I soon rekindled my love for House moving back into scene where I have been ever since.
I think it goes without saying that I love to DJ and I love the music. The last gig I played was at Ministry of Sound with Roger Sanchez in August this year alongside my partner in vibes LeggZ. Between us we form the DJ duo Edd & LeggZ. Combining forces just last year we created several promotions including Gotcha & Tell No One......... and have progressed onto playing major London venues such as, The Egg, Ministry and main room Pacha to name but a few.
Classic inspirations most definitely: Grant Nelson, Deep Dish, David Morales, Masters at Work to name but a few. Current inspirations: Jimpster, Copyright, Chuck Love, Dennis Ferrer, Milton Jackson, Joey Youngman, Mark Knight and Deadmau5, the list is endless. I think currently there is so much talent and quality House music out there and these are just a few of the artists that for me are keeping it alive.
As sad as it sounds, I have to admit Facebook (sorry couldn't resist it) has been a big part in my success so far. It can be a very useful tool once you remove all the mess and has allowed me to network with promoters and producers who I would have never met otherwise and showcase my mixes and material to new ears. I made a decision to put the talent and passion I have to good use. Over the last few years I have started countless tracks of which maybe a few have endings. It's my new goal to put an end to the “two minute wonders” and push forward with my production. I am currently working on a couple of my own tracks due to be released later in the year but have concentrated on remixing recently with opportunities coming from Funklife Records and Lucarelli. This year is set to be a busy one with gigs on the up and remix offers flying in, plus my own material and promotions, Edd Strong and Edd & LeggZ are set to be a HOUSE hold name (sorry for the pun).
Nobody knows what the future holds or what is round the corner. What I can say is that I am intent on working bloody hard this year to get where I believe I should have been 20 years ago.
A massive thanks to all those that have supported me on my journey so far, (you know who you are) you wont be forgotten…………
Big Love to all House music lovers…
